Choose where your image goes
- Avatar: your profile picture. PNG, JPG, or GIF up to 10 MB; you can crop it after picking.
- Background: an image or GIF behind your profile. An image of 1920 × 1080 or larger is recommended by the editor.
- Banner: a wide header across the top of your profile card. Crop it after choosing your file.
Use the Media controls to change your avatar, background, and banner.
Upload an image
- Step 1: Go to Customize → Profile and find Media.
- Step 2: Choose the avatar, background, or banner upload control.
- Step 3: Pick an image up to 10 MB. Complete the crop step when it appears.
- Step 4: Wait for the upload to finish, then check the preview and My page.
Customize → Profile brings your media, profile information, and previews together.
Use a solid background instead
The background control lets you choose between an image and a solid color. Saving a solid background color removes the background image from your profile.
If an upload fails
- Check the file size and try a smaller image.
- For a very large GIF, try a smaller GIF or a static image.
- Keep the page open until the upload finishes and retry on a stable connection.
- If it still fails, include the file format, size, and exact error when contacting support.
