Why music may need a click

Browsers restrict audio that starts before a visitor interacts with the page. Enable the enter screen in Customize → Decoration to give visitors a click-to-enter step, then check your track's autoplay setting.

A visitor's browser settings can still prevent automatic playback. The player controls let them start the music themselves.

Customize Player contains player styles and playback settings, including Autoplay.

Want a Spotify card?

To show a Spotify track, album, playlist, or other supported Spotify link, use the Spotify integration in Integrations. It is separate from the YouTube track on your profile.

If a track will not play

  • Open the original video and check that it is still available.
  • Some videos restrict embedded playback or availability in a visitor's region. Try another video.
  • Check the player's volume, the browser tab's mute setting, and the device volume.
  • Try entering the page and pressing play manually to check whether autoplay is the issue.
